Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, and knowledge of OOP, APIs, Design Patterns, Clean Architecture, and Test Driven Development
- Collaborative experience in software development within a team setting (peer reviews, unit testing, configuration management, defect tracking)
- Familiarity with agile software development tools and practices (e.g. Git, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, GitLab)
- A current Secret clearance updated within the last five years is necessary for this position
- Masters degree or PhD in relevant fields is preferred
- Experience with scripting languages, particularly Python
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills to effectively engage with cross-disciplinary teams
- Understanding of Agile Software Development and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
- Experience in data visualization using tools like Tableau, Plotly Dash, and Python
- Knowledge of data manipulation and analysis techniques for time-series data using NumPy and Pandas
- Acquainted with Airborne Sensing/Tracking systems (e.g., Radar, Electronic Warfare, Electro-Optical)
Responsibilities
- Design and execute software solutions within extensive, big-data environments, emphasizing scalability, dependability, and long-term sustainability
- Convert complex stakeholder needs into effective technical frameworks, comprehensive design specifications, and actionable development strategies
- Set and uphold system technical standards and requirements for software, tools, and data platforms
- Create proof-of-concept prototypes to validate design methodologies and minimize technical risks during the project lifecycle
- Lead and actively engage in formal design assessments to ensure compliance with engineering guidelines and necessary cybersecurity protocols
