Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) field from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or 2 years with a Masters degree, or 1 year with a PhD
- Strong foundation in mathematics and physics
- Recent and substantial experience in software development using Ada, C++, or Java
- Eagerness to achieve proficiency in Ada
- Quick learner, able to grasp new concepts and information
- Recent experience with MATLAB and Python
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems
- Capacity to work in an in-person or restricted-access environment
- Willingness to travel up to 10% to meet business requirements
- Active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Fire Control (GFC) Battle Manager software team
- Contribute to the development and implementation of software controlling the missile defense system
- Engage in understanding, testing, and integrating new and existing system capabilities and algorithms
- Support the review of requirements and test cases associated with GFC software
- Work on complex mathematical and physics-based algorithms highly visible to customers such as the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
