Senior Reliability Engineer - Automation Focus

Requirements
Must:
- Engineering analysis experience in Aerospace
- Proficiency in Reliability principles, practices, and root cause analysis
- Strong understanding of probability, statistical concepts, and mathematical modeling
- Background in subsystems to system level integration
- Military ship experience with willingness to obtain/maintain a Top Secret or higher security clearance (no clearance required to start)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Special Disciplines team and potentially lead a small Reliability team or project
- Design, coordinate, and execute technical reliability studies and evaluations of engineering design concepts and experiments
- Suggest design or testing methodologies and statistical process control procedures to meet required reliability levels
- Compile and assess performance reports and process control statistics; analyze relevant variables impacting products and processes
- Guarantee that corrective actions fulfill acceptable reliability standards
- Review preliminary plans and establish reliability engineering programs to meet company, customer, and government reliability goals
- Create mathematical models to identify units, batches or processes with high failure risks
- Recommend design changes or formulations to enhance system and/or process reliability
- Identify units and/or batches that need environmental testing, specifying the minimum number of samples for valid data collection
