Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and technical staff to devise program plans and ensure their successful execution
- Background in engineering development programs
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects as a technical point of contact
- Experience in communicating with customers to deliver development hardware or systems
- Proficiency in preparing presentations for internal senior leadership, including Directors
- Capability to obtain a DoD security clearance
- Relevant education or experience in missile and/or aerospace fields
- Familiarity with missile and/or space propulsion hardware
- Experience in developing space propulsion hardware
- Knowledge of FBM processes and products
- Acquainted with aerospace manufacturing practices
- Understanding of gas/fluid dynamics or energetics/propellants
- Prior experience as a principal engineer delegate or project lead
- Insight into risk management and continuous improvement principles
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with demonstrated leadership and initiative
Responsibilities
- Collaborate within the Post Boost Control System (PBCS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) while exhibiting strong team cooperation
- Serve as the RSE delegate for the PBCS, acting as the primary technical point of contact across all products within the subsystem
- Develop and manage the architecture and design of the PBCS while working closely with component development teams
- Maintain traceability of all product relationships, ensuring accountability among product owners
- Advocate for the product throughout its lifecycle, from defining requirements to mission operations
- Ensure the performance and mission success of the PBCS while navigating the balance between technical performance, cost, and schedule constraints
- Resist compromises that could affect appropriate risk thresholds
