Senior Performance Engineer

- Develop and validate physics-based performance models using MATLAB/Simulink tools - Perform steady-state and transient performance analyses, including thrust, torque, efficiency, and trajectory for various subsystems - Integrate multi-physics effects such as thermal-mechanical and fluid-structure interactions as necessary - Convert system-level performance requirements into detailed analysis plans and load cases - Conduct trade studies to balance mass, power, and durability while presenting findings to program leadership - Collaborate with other engineers to ensure cohesive performance predictions across various disciplines - Define test requirements and develop testing procedures for both ground and flight tests - Evaluate test data against analytical predictions, adjust models accordingly, and compile correlation results - Assist with certification and compliance efforts in line with MIL-STD and program standards - Lead performance-analysis work-packages through all phases from conception to release - Offer guidance and feedback to junior analysts on their models and deliverables - Facilitate training sessions and lessons-learned discussions for the performance-analysis team - Generate clear and concise analysis reports and performance documentation according to best practices - Maintain organized model libraries, scripts, and analysis templates - Present analytical findings during design reviews and program status meetings - Investigate emerging performance-analysis techniques and best practices - Contribute to internal technical standards and knowledge-sharing initiatives
