Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 14 years of experience as a Software Engineer in comparable programs and contracts
- Alternatively, 4 years of additional Software Engineering experience on projects with similar processes may substitute for a bachelors degree
- Proven hands-on experience with Apache NiFi
- Proficient in Java and/or Groovy, Bash and/or Python
- Strong background in Linux/RHEL administration and containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Expertise in handling various data formats such as JSON, Avro, Parquet, and XML using NiFi Record-based readers/writers
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Ansible or Terraform for automating NiFi cluster deployments
- Experience in managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting multiple data flows/threads
- TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and oversee complex, high-throughput data pipelines to support Data Transformation Solutions (DTS)
- Ensure secure and reliable data transfer across varied systems, including cloud platforms
- Create and construct scalable data flows utilizing Apache NiFi to ingest, route, transform, and distribute data across the enterprise
- Optimize NiFi performance through back-pressure management, tuning settings, and configuring site-to-site communication within clustered environments
- Deploy highly scalable solutions using an Apache NiFi cluster alongside Apache Zookeeper
