Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering field.
- Proficiency in CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Unigraphics, or a similar 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool.
- Demonstrated experience in providing engineering support for aircraft production, modification, or sustainment.
- Familiarity with CATIA V5 and Team Center is preferred.
- Knowledge of metallic and composite design and/or analysis is desirable.
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Previous experience in a role with MR Engineering signature authority.
- Strong focus on internal and external customer needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead investigations of aircraft discrepancies and formulate technically robust disposition recommendations.
- Coordinate resolution initiatives across various teams including Stress/Service Life, Quality Assurance, Structures, Systems Design, Safety, and Materials.
- Engage daily with flight-test engineering and maintenance staff to incorporate corrective measures.
- Foster process enhancements, instill best practices, and oversee lessons-learned documentation.
- Provide MRB team coverage and staffing for off-shift and weekend schedules, along with occasional business travel.
