Requirements
Must:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in data engineering
- Proficient in SQL and Oracle databases
- Minimum 1 year designing and operating AWS-native data lakes for mission-critical or high-volume tasks
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Masters preferred)
- Knowledge of AWS services
- Demonstrated experience in SAFe/Agile environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams including AI/ML, UX, and Systems Engineering
- Expertise with S3, Glue, Lake Formation, Kinesis, MSK, Redshift, Athena, QuickSight, Lambda, Step Functions, IAM, KMS
- Practical knowledge of AWS Glue, Spark, DBT, Airflow (or Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow)
- Skilled in Python (PySpark, Boto3), Scala, SQL, and Shell/Bash
- Experience integrating MBSE data from Cameo and DOORS NEXT into data-lake pipelines
- Familiarity with AI/ML data pipelines such as SageMaker Feature Store and model-artifact versioning
- Background in data ingestion, Object Storage, data orchestration, ETL, and both relational and non-relational databases including autonomousDB
Responsibilities
- Design, construct, and manage data pipelines that ingest, transform, catalog, and serve data within the EMBERPOINT platform
- Collaborate with AWS Infrastructure Architects, AI/ML Engineers, Software Factory teams, and Advisory Board to maintain data quality, security, and efficiency across workflows
- Integrate databases with streaming ingestion pipelines and data lake services to facilitate real-time analytics and predictive wildfire intelligence
- Partner with data engineering, platform engineering, and application development teams to ensure high system availability, performance, and secure data management
- Troubleshoot and resolve data infrastructure challenges to support analytics and application functionality at scale
