Requirements
Must:
- Understanding of Digital Communications and Signal Processing.
- Experience in modeling, simulation, and analysis of RF Systems, including Space-to-Ground and Payload Systems.
- Proficiency in performing Link Budget Analysis and Cascade Analysis.
- Familiarity with MATLAB.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- Extensive RF/payload/communication system analysis, modeling, and simulation experience.
- Knowledge of Satellite Communications (SATCOM), including Analog-to-Digital and Digital-to-Analog analysis.
- Experience with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and vector signal analyzers.
- Background in MATLAB/Simulink for modeling communication systems.
- Familiarity with Basis of Estimates, DOORS, and STK.
- Ability to work with ambiguity and incomplete information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct RF/payload/communication system analyses, modeling, and simulations.
- Design and develop RF systems along with related analyses.
- Create specifications and analyses based on vague customer requirements.
- Assist with RF engineering Basis of Estimates for proposals.
- Perform trades and analyses for Radio Frequency systems and circuitry.
- Develop link budgets, cascade analyses, and frequency response studies for RF systems.
- Model and simulate RF systems targeting high-frequency and microwave applications.
- Produce mini-specifications for payload units, especially RF hardware, as well as full specifications as necessary.
