Requirements
Must:
- Experience administering Oracle Database environments.
- Proficient in deploying and managing Oracle Autonomous Database.
- Experience integrating databases with streaming or ingestion technologies like Kafka or OCI Streaming.
- Familiarity with integrating databases into object storage platforms.
- Experience with NoSQL or JSON document-based databases.
- Knowledge in implementing replication and high-availability database architectures.
- Proficient in backup, snapshot, and point-in-time recovery strategies.
- Skilled in database performance tuning and query optimization.
- Experienced in implementing database security, encryption, and governance controls.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL or EnterpriseDB platforms is a plus.
- Experience in data modeling and schema design is desirable.
- Proficient in provisioning databases using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with administering Linux-based database environments is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage both relational and non-relational database environments in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Oversee Oracle Database and Autonomous Database platforms that support application and analytics workloads.
- Integrate databases with streaming ingestion technologies like Kafka or OCI Streaming.
- Facilitate integration with object storage and data lake environments.
- Implement and manage replication, high availability, and failover architectures.
- Design and maintain strategies for backup, snapshots, and point-in-time recovery (PITR).
- Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and workload analysis.
- Establish and maintain security measures, encryption, and governance controls to safeguard sensitive information.
