Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or a relevant technical field, or a combination of relevant education and experience - Familiarity with static and structural dynamics analysis related to spacecraft, aircraft, or missiles - Proven experience with ADAMS Multibody dynamics software, NX Simulation, NASTRAN, LS-Dyna, Wave6, or similar tools - Skilled in programming and utilizing MATLAB (or equivalent) for analytical tasks and data handling - Capability to secure and maintain a Secret security clearance; ship required - Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering/Structural Mechanics or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 9 years dynamics experience (preferred) - Knowledge of missile and/or spacecraft structures, strength of materials, and principles of structural dynamics - Background in evaluating designs using rigid or flexible body analysis techniques and tools - Expertise in modern substructure modeling and assembly methods, including Craig-Bampton sub structuring - Proficiency in analyzing composite, metallic structures, and mechanisms - Competence in Finite Element Modeling, modal analysis, and model correlation/verification - Experience with Coupled Loads Analysis (CLA) for spacecraft or launch vehicles - Familiarity with planning and executing tests for aerospace flight hardware in static, vibration, acoustic, modal, and shock domains - Ability to effectively collaborate with various disciplines in an integrated team setting - Strong ownership of tasks, with a commitment to efficient and timely completion of work

Responsibilities

- Conduct structural dynamic analyses for spacecraft flight hardware - Create and maintain models using both in-house and commercial software that simulate mechanical loading, dynamic environments such as shock and vibration, and motion of mechanisms - Develop loads including primary and secondary structure assessments, determine shock and vibration environments, conduct component and system testing, and evaluate data - Compile and present analysis outcomes in detailed and timely reports and presentations - Define and integrate system requirements into the overall baseline - Develop test plans and specifications for static, separation dynamics, vibration, modal, and shock tests, analyzing and documenting results in subsequent reports - Present findings from analyses and tests during program evaluation meetings such as Design Reviews and Engineering Review Boards
