Requirements
Must:
- Professional experience or relevant coursework in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, or finite element analysis
- Proficiency in Matlab or another programming language
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
- Technical familiarity with missile, reentry, or hypersonic analysis and design
- Background in thermal analysis and design
- Experience with ground testing
- Knowledge of flight data reduction and analysis
- Strong ability to collaborate within a team environment
Responsibilities
- Support missile programs by providing engineering assistance related to hypersonic flight vehicles
- Conduct modeling and simulation analyses for missile launch vehicle systems, re-entry bodies, and hypersonic glide vehicles
- Offer recommendations for data packages to aid peer and client reviews
- Create software solutions to optimize analysis workflows and enhance analytical capabilities
- Analyze various heat transfer phenomena such as conduction, convection, and thermal radiation
