Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, System Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in developing and deploying Linux platforms
- Administrative and deployment experience with Linux Operating Systems, preferably RHEL6/8
- Familiarity with deployment and configuration of hypervisor platforms, such as Linux KVM or VMware
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Ansible, and Bash
- Background in systems/software engineering utilizing agile tools and automation best practices
- Practical experience with computer/server hardware and related peripherals
- Capability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
- Linux+ or Red Hat Linux certification (RHSA/RHCE) is preferred
- Knowledge of network devices and their configuration is advantageous
- Experience with software containerization and system hardening practices
- Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) is desirable
Responsibilities
- Engage in engineering tasks to develop secure, scalable virtualized edge computing solutions
- Participate in the entire engineering cycle including product selection, design, deployment, integration, and testing of infrastructure platforms
- Utilize automation tools to enhance system deployment processes
- Support interfaces and integrations with various systems, software, and sensors
- Assist in corporate and customer events to evaluate future capabilities for the warfighter
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical challenges
- Travel between our sites as needed, including occasional domestic or international travel
