Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least 1 year of experience in software engineering.
- Proficient in C/C++ for real-time or safety-critical systems.
- Skilled with scripting languages including Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Experienced in using Git for version control (branching, merging, pull requests) and GitLab for CI/CD processes.
- Ability to generate detailed specifications, design documents, and testing documentation.
- Familiar with best practices in version control and continuous integration/delivery methodologies.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance before employment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute software development tasks.
- Design, create, document, test, and troubleshoot software applications addressing business or mission-related issues.
- Implement standard practices, processes, and tools throughout the software development life cycle.
- Convert high-level requirements into precise software specifications and design documents.
- Develop and perform unit testing for C/C++ components in real-time or safety-critical environments.
- Create and implement testing strategies (unit, integration, system verification) and document outcomes.
- Actively engage in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and production transition.
- Identify and rectify software issues; produce straightforward operating instructions and thorough development documentation.
- Assess system capabilities to enhance understanding of program goals, output needs, data collection, programming methods, and control mechanisms.
- Ensure that all software outputs satisfy quality and regulatory standards.
