Requirements
Must:
- Must have experience with 5th Generation Fighter Aircraft (F-22 or F-35) and troubleshooting Vehicle Systems (VS/APG) and/or Mission Systems (MS/Avionics)
- Final transferable Secret Security Clearance
- 3 years of experience with Avionics/Mission Systems (MS) is preferred
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer (FSE) is strongly desired
- Capability to communicate effectively with military leadership and senior management
- Experience in fault isolation and problem analysis at the sub-system level
- Proficiency in technical report writing
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/schematics
- Familiarity with engineering tools such as FSE Vision, PDM, VAS, JEDI, JARVIS, and CRE
- Knowledge of CATIA and System/Software Engineering Environment (S/SEE)
- Experience collaborating with military operational units
Responsibilities
- Conduct troubleshooting and analysis of operational issues in the field
- Participate in debriefings to quickly identify issues requiring company intervention to prevent aircraft downtime
- Record unusual operational and maintenance issues to keep the company informed of emerging failure trends
- Initiate Action Requests (ARs) for unique operational problems necessitating technical, procedural, or quality actions
- Provide on-site support and training to both company and customer personnel
- Collaborate effectively with maintainers and other engineers from different F-35 companies
- Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms within a team setting
- Assist with aircraft ground maintenance and operational limitations
- Manage on-site support as directed by customer, site manager, or program management
- Lead and track multiple engineering projects, providing periodic updates to customers and program management
- Be open to travel and deployment to CONUS, OCONUS, and hazardous locations, with willingness for long-term assignments
