Requirements
Must:
- Associates Degree in electronics, electrical engineering technology, or avionics discipline is required
- Combination of education and practical experience is preferred
- Proficiency in reading Engineering Drawings (1-2 years experience)
- Experience with Data Acquisition (1-2 years experience)
- Familiarity with Electronic Testing (1-2 years experience)
- Ability to interpret Electrical Schematics (1-2 years experience)
- Basic engineering understanding (statics, dynamics, circuits, etc.)
- Military training or relevant experience in electronics field is advantageous
- Skill in reading engineering drawings and knowledge of GD&T basics
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD is desired
- Competence with hand and precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers)
- Basic machining and assembly experience is expected
- Ability to set up simple test rigs and document data using Excel
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Awareness of safety practices and personal protective equipment usage
- Excellent written and verbal communication; team collaboration skills
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Time management skills and accurate record-keeping capabilities
Responsibilities
- Provide practical assistance in assembling, modifying, and documenting test fixtures, wire harnesses, and associated hardware for aerospace and defense system testing
- Work closely with engineers and technicians to ensure test equipment complies with design specifications, quality benchmarks, and project timelines
- Assist in performing electronic testing and data acquisition activities
- Support the creation and maintenance of accurate engineering documentation
- Help set up and take down test configurations
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues
- Conduct basic machining and assembly as needed
- Utilize CAD software to create or edit necessary engineering drawings
- Keep a well-organized record of all testing and assembly results
