Electro-Optical Laser Systems Engineer - TS

- Proven experience leading design reviews (such as SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.) - Demonstrated expertise in creating systems engineering artifacts and executing requirements decomposition - Background in developing or engaging with laser or electro-optic systems - History of leading technical teams - Active TS or Q clearance; ability to acquire TS/SCI w/Poly clearance is mandatory - BS (or higher) in Systems Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or closely related field - Proven ability to guide technical teams through concept development, risk analysis, and milestone achievement - MS degree or higher is preferred - Strong project management abilities, including schedule development, risk registers, and milestone reporting - Robust experience in supplier management, evaluating and engaging with multiple vendors on structural, thermal, electrical, and optical subsystems - Exceptional technical communication skills for reports, presentations, and design reviews, with the capability to mentor junior engineers - Familiarity with NASA STD 6016, ECSS, MIL STD 1540, or similar space-related standards - Understanding of adaptive optics systems for atmospheric correction and telescope integration - Exposure to space or ground ISR systems - Experience in Class C/D, IRAD, or fast-paced development environments - Ability to identify risks and collaborate with the team to set priorities and maintain focus on key objectives - Experience across full program lifecycles on diverse programs, from initial development to mission or test operations - Experience with Cameo or MBSE Modeling - Active TS/SCI w/Poly clearance recommended
