Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in application containerization (Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Containerd) within cloud environments (AWS, Azure, OpenStack, OpenShift)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Packer
- Background in Agile development practices, using tools like JIRA and Confluence
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes, including deployment pipelines and automated build/configuration tools (GitLab, ArgoCD)
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Demonstrated recent experience as a technical lead (architecture design, technical research, project management, and code quality standards)
- Programming proficiency in either Java or Python
- Recent experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with skills in automation, incident management, monitoring, optimization, programming/scripting, metrics, and security
- Experience with Linux and shell scripting (e.g., bash)
- Understanding of the Space Domain
- Strong communication skills for both verbal and written interactions
- Proven ability to foster collaboration and maintain strong team relationships
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Effective time management skills for timely project deliverables
Responsibilities
- Generate and simulate operational level plans to assess potential strategies for future space defense
- Optimize terrestrial and space-based sensor systems to enhance comprehensive space domain awareness
- Strategically position and maneuver satellite constellations to meet evolving operational priorities
- Collaborate with a team using industry-standard open-source software solutions such as GitLab, Kubernetes, and Helm
- Employ an automation-first mindset, focusing on everything as code to prioritize critical functionality for end users
