Requirements
Must:
- Background in STEM or related fields
- Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience in leading development teams
- Demonstrated leadership in engineering projects with successful outcomes
- Strong foundational knowledge of Agile, DevSecOps, and Digital Transformation
- Comprehensive understanding of engineering development processes
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time
- Active Secret Level security clearance or capability to obtain and maintain it
- Masters degree is preferred
- Experience in collaborating across organizations for effective results
- Background in managing extensive development programs
- Familiarity with product line development and oversight
- Knowledge of all phases of the engineering development lifecycle
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Skill in mentoring engineers at various experience levels
- Experience in presenting to both customers and management levels
- Proficient in data analysis to inform decision-making
- Background in transformation and modernization efforts
- Certification or experience in Agile coaching
- Experience in new business capture and proposal processes
- Control Account Manager (CAM) certification is a plus
- Recognized for Full Spectrum Leadership capabilities
- Strategic thinker with a proactive attitude
- High commitment to customer satisfaction
Responsibilities
- Lead a multi-discipline team to address complex engineering challenges
- Oversee the technical, cost, and scheduling aspects of multiple software development initiatives
- Manage the entire engineering development lifecycle from design to implementation
- Ensure compliance with standards and processes throughout the project
- Introduce modern tools and techniques to enhance engineering practices
- Facilitate the professional development of team members
- Handle personnel management tasks including performance evaluations and career growth
- Address staffing requests and manage contract-related discussions
- Execute recovery plans and participate in critical milestone events
