Requirements
Must:
- B.S. degree in a technical field such as Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Security, or Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+, CySA, CCNA Security, SSCP, or GSEC
- Willingness to travel as necessary
- Experience in cyber security throughout the product lifecycle to ensure secure system architecture
- Familiarity with Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG), CNSSI 1253, and NIST SP 800-37 Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Practical knowledge of security-related documentation and approval processes for obtaining Authorizations to Operate (ATOs)
- Proficiency in software code analysis and generating risk reports based on identified threats and vulnerabilities
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Experience in conducting cyber risk analysis, security assessments, and implementing mitigation strategies
- Understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes and NSA security protocols
- Knowledge of implementing Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to address cyber vulnerabilities
Responsibilities
- Define and allocate cybersecurity requirements to develop a cyber-resilient security design for the target platform
- Engage in working groups, design reviews, and artifact evaluations with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Provide security expertise early in the product development lifecycle
- Conduct various cyber risk analyses and assessments
- Implement patches and STIGs to resolve cyber vulnerabilities and accommodate feature changes
- Create and maintain documentation for installations and configurations required for Authorizations to Operate (ATOs)
- Develop and execute Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAMs) to mitigate outstanding cyber risks
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborate with engineering teams to set mission goals, plan tasks, and prioritize objectives for efficient execution
