Requirements
Must:
- U.S. citizenship required (no dual citizenship), with the ability and willingness to obtain Top Secret Clearance
- Proven experience in system administration across Linux, Windows, networking, or storage areas
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving IT-related technical problems
- Familiar with system maintenance procedures such as patching, updates, and configuration management
- Understanding foundational networking concepts including IP, DNS, and routing
- Experience providing user support and resolving hardware/software challenges
- Able to adhere to established procedures for incident, change, and problem management
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate efficiently within a team environment
Desired skills:
- Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
- Minimum of 2 years of experience managing Linux and/or Windows server systems
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware, KVM, or similar
- Experience with storage solutions (e.g., NetApp or equivalent)
- Knowledge of Active Directory, domain services, and integration of Windows/Linux systems
- Familiarity with system hardening and practices related to vulnerability scanning and remediation
- Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Ansible)
- Scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience in classified or air-gapped settings
- Familiar with encryption technologies and certificate management practices
Responsibilities
- Support the DarkStar Enterprise network by providing secure IT solutions for classified programs
- Administer and maintain Linux and/or Windows systems and network components
- Engage in system installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance to ensure operational continuity
- Participate in Information Assurance initiatives including conducting vulnerability assessments and remediating security vulnerabilities
- Apply security patches and implement system hardening in line with rigorous security mandates
- Oversee tracking and management of enterprise assets and software to ensure audit-readiness
- Collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity experts, and program stakeholders on system integration and upgrades
- Assist in incident resolution, change execution, and operational improvements that influence mission success
- Work in a classified environment addressing technical challenges across applications, systems, and network connectivity
