Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, or a Masters degree with no prior experience required
- Proficiency in developing software requirements and collaborating effectively with software engineers in design, development, and testing processes
- Familiarity with the design, integration, and testing of systems and operational software programs
- Understanding of system design, requirement definition, and documentation practices
- Knowledge of verification and test documentation, including conducting tests
- Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams (Hardware, Software, Integration/Test)
- Programming skills in languages such as C, C++, or Python
- Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems
- Capacity to build strong customer relationships
- Active Secret security clearance is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated effectiveness in both collaborative team settings and independent task execution
Responsibilities
- Execute systems engineering tasks for the U.S. Coast Guard program
- Develop requirements for systems, software, and subsystems
- Define both external and internal interfaces
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on software/hardware interface matters
- Allocate requirements across different engineering sectors
- Assist in documentation and verification of requirements
- Create test plans, procedures, and corresponding reports
- Conduct integration, verification, and validation testing performance
