Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a relevant field
- Proven experience in developing Object Oriented software using Java
- Proficient in troubleshooting and supporting systems running on Linux
- Exceptional technical writing capabilities
- Familiarity with Eclipse, Git/GitLab, and JIRA
- Experience with VMWare and Relational Databases such as Oracle, HSQL, or PostgreSQL is a plus
- Worked in DevSecOps development environments
- Knowledge of JMS and Hibernate
- Understanding of Lean development methodologies and Agile software development practices
- Awareness of cybersecurity best practices
- Ability to obtain at least a Secret Clearance
Responsibilities
- Engage in the development and integration of Control and Management software for submarine communications
- Design, implement, perform unit testing, and integrate Java-based software solutions
- Offer real-time support for integration, testing, and troubleshooting both lab and deployed systems
- Analyze design specifications and create low-level software designs
- Convert specifications into functional code
- Demonstrate detail-oriented troubleshooting skills to analyze software issues and provide resolution recommendations
