Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field
- Proficient in at least one programming language such as C++, Java, Go, Rust, or Python
- Familiarity with messaging protocols like Kafka, ActiveMQ (AMQ), ZeroMQ (ZMQ), Data Distribution Service (DDS), or Zenoh
- Experience with DevOps tools including Docker/Podman, Kubernetes/Helm, or GitLab/GitHub/Jenkins CI/CD
- Must possess a Secret Clearance
- Masters Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar discipline is a plus
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as REST or gRPC preferred
- Background in Test-Driven Development for unit and system/acceptance levels
- Experience with software orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Helm, Istio, or Linkerd
- Familiarity with developing and deploying microservices
- Background in software for defense mission systems appreciated
- Experience with real-time embedded software engineering considered beneficial
- Knowledge of hardware-accelerated computing using CUDA, Intel oneAPI, or SYCL will be advantageous
- Familiarity with model deployment software libraries like NVIDIA TensorRT, Triton Inference Server, or OnnxRuntime
- Experience in deploying AI-enabled systems across various environments such as cloud or edge devices
- Background in high-performance computing is desirable
- Experience interfacing with databases including SQL or MongoDB preferred
- Experience leading engineering teams or small groups is a plus
- Familiarity with transitioning prototype software to production is beneficial
- Top Secret // SCI Clearance is advantageous
Responsibilities
- Develop software solutions that integrate Artificial Intelligence to offer state-of-the-art capabilities to clients
- Engage in all phases of the system development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, system and software design, implementation, integration, and flight testing
- Participate in various activities such as creating proof of concepts, developing prototypes, and transitioning to production environments
- Utilize modern computer science techniques, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms, to create code that addresses complex challenges
- Implement concurrency methods (both threaded and multi-processing) while being familiar with I/O systems including block storage network databases
- Take on technical leadership roles and mentor junior engineers as necessary
