Requirements
Must:
- Proven expertise in designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS, GKE, OpenStack, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with core Kubernetes components (Karpenter, cluster autoscaler, CNI, CSI, CRI, CRD, operators)
- Over 5 years of experience in Kubernetes infrastructure management
- Active contributor to open-source Kubernetes projects
- More than 10 years in software engineering roles
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, and Bash (one or more)
- Strong communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, architecture, and development of K8s-based cloud infrastructure
- Utilize K8s Controllers, Operators & Custom Resources to create scalable, highly available solutions
- Integrate Karpenter and/or other advanced tools for optimizing infrastructure
- Architect MLOps middleware integration focusing on dynamic workload migration and resource disaggregation
- Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
- Champion cost optimization of infrastructure through FinOps best practices in K8s deployments
- Advocate for K8s best practices and mentor software engineers
- Collaborate with various teams to encourage K8s adoption in multi-cloud and hybrid settings
- Contribute to open-source initiatives within the Kubernetes community
Description
We are a startup with a dedicated team of 30, offering a fully remote work environment for candidates located in North America. We provide a competitive compensation package, including a base salary of $250,000 plus equity. Our focus is on driving innovation in GPU orchestration and cloud infrastructure.
