Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in trading workflows including Equities, Futures, Options, and FX
- Proficiency in using Portware or other Execution Management Systems (EMS)
- Over 10 years of Fullstack Software Engineering expertise
- A minimum of 4 years in architectural roles focusing on microservices and relevant architectural principles
- Advanced knowledge of Java and associated frameworks
- Familiarity with Java Swing is advantageous
- Expertise in cloud-native development, preferably on AWS
- Strong troubleshooting and performance debugging skills
- Preferable qualifications include a BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields, as well as CFA or CRD/CRIMS experience
Responsibilities
- Implement automation strategies to enhance trading workflows across Equities, Futures, FX, and Options
- Focus on new development (30%), enhancements (50%), and maintenance (20%)
- Work chiefly on backend development (70%) with some frontend duties (30%)
- Create customizations and user interfaces for Portware
- Collaborate closely with Traders, Portfolio Managers, and the Product Owner
- Engage in hands-on implementation including building solutions, overseeing SDLC pipelines, conducting code reviews, and designing test cases
- Provide architectural insights and influence design direction to align with future goals
- Lead and mentor team members
Description
We are located in Battery Park City and offer a hybrid work environment with four days in the office. Our compensation package ranges from $200,000 to $230,000 base salary, plus bonuses.
