Requirements
Must:
- Trading workflow expertise (Equities, Futures, Options, FX)
- Experience with Portware or similar EMS
- Proficient in Java (Java 8) with advanced knowledge
- Over 10 years of Fullstack Software Engineering experience
- At least 4 years in Software Architecture with knowledge of microservices and architectural methodologies
- Familiarity with Java Swing is advantageous
- Knowledge in cloud-native development, preferably with AWS
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for performance issues
- Preferred qualifications: BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, CFA, CRD/CRIMS experience
Responsibilities
- Develop automation strategies to enhance trading workflows across various instruments
- Architect, design, and implement custom modifications and interfaces in Portware using Java
- Engage in new development (30%), enhancements (50%), and maintenance (20%) of systems
- Focus predominantly on backend development (70%) with frontend tasks (30%) as needed
- Collaborate with Traders and Portfolio Managers to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business needs
- Contribute to architectural discussions and influence design decisions for future projects
- Perform hands-on implementation of features and functionalities
Description
We are located in Battery Park City and offer a hybrid work model requiring four days in the office. Our compensation package includes a competitive base salary ranging from $200,000 to $230,000, plus performance bonuses. We provide unlimited paid time off (PTO) and exceptional benefits.
