Requirements
Must:
- Profound understanding of trading workflows (Equities, Futures, Options, FX)
- Experience with Portware or other Execution Management Systems (EMS)
- Advanced proficiency in Java (Java 8)
- Over 10 years of Fullstack Software Engineering experience
- At least 4 years of architectural experience, particularly with microservices and related concepts
- Familiarity with Java Swing is advantageous
- Expertise in cloud-native development, preferably with AWS
- Proficient in troubleshooting and debugging performance issues
- Preferred qualifications include a BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, along with CFA or CRD/CRIMS experience
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automation strategies to enhance trading workflows across multiple asset categories
- Architect, design, and create customizations and interfaces in Portware utilizing Java
- Allocate approximately 30% of time to new development, 50% to enhancements, and 20% to maintenance tasks
- Manage backend processes about 70% of the time and frontend tasks about 30%
- Collaborate closely with Traders and Portfolio Managers while working alongside the Product Owner
- Provide architectural input and influence design directions to align with the desired future state
- Participate in hands-on implementation of solutions
Description
We are located in Battery Park City and offer a hybrid work model, with four days in the office per week. Our compensation package ranges from $200,000 to $230,000 base salary, plus bonuses.
