Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in trading workflows (Equities, Futures, Options, FX)
- Familiarity with Portware or other Execution Management Systems (EMS)
- Over 10 years of experience in Fullstack Software Engineering
- At least 4 years in software architecture, particularly with microservices and other architectural principles
- Proficiency in Java and Java frameworks
- Knowledge of Java Swing is advantageous
- Expertise in cloud-native development, preferably on AWS
- Strong skills in troubleshooting and debugging performance issues
- Preferred qualifications include a BS or MS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields, along with CFA and CRD/CRIMS experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement automation strategies to enhance trading workflows across various asset classes
- Collaborate with traders and portfolio managers, working closely with the Product Owner
- Engage in hands-on development, including building solutions, establishing SDLC pipelines, conducting code reviews, and designing test cases
- Contribute architectural insights that influence design decisions in alignment with future objectives
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members
- Manage new development (30%), enhancements (50%), and maintenance tasks (20%) with a focus on backend (70%) and frontend (30%) responsibilities.
Description
We are located in Battery Park City and offer a hybrid work model with four days in the office. Our compensation package ranges from $200,000 to $230,000 base salary, plus bonuses, and we provide unlimited Paid Time Off, alongside exceptional benefits. We seek a seasoned professional to join our team, driving automation in trading workflows and building custom solutions for our Portware EMS.
