Requirements
Must:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active Secret Clearance required
- IAT Level III certification equivalent or higher as per DoD 8570/8140 (e.g., CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP)
- Over twelve (12) years of relevant systems engineering experience
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent (Juniper Specialist/Associate acceptable)
- Experience in ensuring systems meet cybersecurity and compliance standards
- Advanced hands-on knowledge of enterprise networking technologies (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, routing/switching, VPN, BGP/MPLS)
- Strong understanding of network security hardening and secure configuration practices (e.g., STIGs, NIST, IPSec/TLS)
Responsibilities
- Support the design, architecture, and modernization of enterprise systems and infrastructure solutions
- Develop secure, scalable, and resilient system designs that fulfill mission requirements
- Engage in system upgrade, migration, deployment, and enhancement projects
- Install, configure, and manage highly available and scalable virtual infrastructures
- Provide planning, configuration, and upgrade support for VMware vCenter Server and ESXi clusters (7.x/8.x)
- Provision, administer, and maintain virtual machines and applications
- Monitor vSphere/vCenter environments and overall system health
- Implement IAVMs, STIGs, patches, bug fixes, and security controls across various platforms
- Maintain, support, and troubleshoot enterprise systems, resolving complex infrastructure issues
- Design and implement redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery strategies
- Keep detailed system documentation, including diagrams and configuration records
- Collaborate with security, network, cloud, and application teams for integrated and secure operations
- Conduct capacity planning, performance evaluations, and full lifecycle management
- Mentor junior team members and provide SME-level guidance in system engineering disciplines
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and modernization strategies
- Lead automation initiatives and process enhancements to improve system performance and reliability
