Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field is mandatory
- 3 to 5+ years of pertinent experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong organizational abilities
- Exceptional problem-solving capabilities
- Broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures applicable to complex assignments and shifting priorities
- Experience in a manufacturing setting is favorable but not essential
- Capability to perform hands-on tasks
- The chosen candidates job level and compensation will be based on qualifications and experience
Responsibilities
- Analyze products returned from the field and test failures to identify root causes and suggest corrective measures
- Implement modifications to product designs, documentation, or testing protocols to enhance quality, reliability, manufacturability, and/or reduce costs
- Provide technical assistance to resolve production challenges, field service issues, and customer concerns
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through design optimization, material alterations, or enhancements in manufacturing processes
- Supervise and conduct tests on design modifications to confirm product performance, durability, and compliance with specifications
- Assess alternative suppliers for components or assemblies to guarantee performance and reliability
- Ensure existing product designs continue to meet functional, safety, and regulatory standards
- Work collaboratively with teams in R&D, manufacturing, production, supply chain, quality, and service to set goals, address issues, and foster continuous product advancements
- Supply technical knowledge and support to sales, marketing, and service teams as required to assist with customer inquiries and field issues
- Occasionally engage with suppliers, distributors, customers, and sales engineers on technical matters, product performance, or potential improvements
- Utilize and contribute to Lincoln Electrics engineering standards, design methodologies, and shared knowledge to boost product quality and customer satisfaction
- Assist in developing and refining internal processes, documentation, and best practices to enhance organizational learning and consistency in engineering
