Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Over 5 years of expertise in PLC and HMI programming.
- Proficient in Rockwell Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View, or Siemens TIA Portal.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus, and ProfiNET.
- Excellent troubleshooting and debugging abilities.
- Willingness to travel 30% - 50%.
Responsibilities
- Develop source code for PC-based industrial control systems.
- Design and configure PLC logic for customized machinery (preferably Rockwell/Allen-Bradley).
- Create HMI interactions for operator use.
- Conduct testing and debugging of control programs to ensure optimal functionality.
- Integrate motion control systems, sensors, and safety devices effectively.
- Assist with on-site installation and commissioning of programmed systems.
- Diagnose and resolve programming issues during both build and post-installation phases.
- Keep software documentation and version control up to date.
- Collaborate with contractors during installations for any necessary programming modifications.
