Requirements

Must:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. - Level III: Over 5 years of pertinent experience. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and lead projects when necessary. - Level IV: More than 8 years of relevant experience. - Recognized as an authority in your field within the organization. - Over 3 years of hands-on experience in FPGA design and development using VHDL. - Proficiency with AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or Microchip/Microsemi FPGA platforms. - Strong grasp of timing analysis, constraints, and closure techniques. - Experience with AXI interconnects and ARM-based processing system integration. - Familiarity with simulation and verification tools such as VUnit or Vivado Simulator. - Practical experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers. - Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and adeptness at cross-functional teamwork. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Preferred: Familiarity with high-speed interfaces (e.g., PCI, Ethernet, DDR) and High-Level Synthesis tools.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop VHDL-based solutions for control, signal processing, and communication systems. - Create modular and reusable IP blocks for seamless integration into intricate FPGA architectures. - Collaborate with hardware and software teams to establish functional requirements and distribute logic tasks across hardware, firmware, and software. - Execute static timing analysis to achieve closure across various clock domains. - Optimize designs for performance, area, and power consumption through synthesis and placement tools. - Diagnose timing violations and apply constraints using industry-standard tools. - Create and implement AXI interfaces for ARM processors and other embedded systems. - Combine FPGA logic with SoC platforms and oversee data transfer between programmable logic and software. - Develop testbenches and simulation environments using VHDL for verification purposes. - Conduct functional and formal validation of FPGA designs and support hardware bring-up. - Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive integration across software, hardware, and systems. - Participate in design reviews, contributing to system architecture decisions and documenting essential design specifications, test outcomes, and performance metrics. - Stay updated on FPGA technologies, high-level synthesis, and hardware acceleration advancements, evaluating new tools to enhance design efficiency and dependability.
