Requirements
Must:
- We prefer candidates with an Electrical Engineering degree; degrees in Mechatronics will also be taken into account.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Controls Engineer is necessary.
- Knowledge or education in electrical circuits, schematic reading, design, and troubleshooting is required.
- Experience with electrical CAD systems, such as AutoCAD Electrical and/or ePLAN is essential.
- Familiarity with design using Rockwell Logix 5000 or Siemens S7-1500 family processors is expected.
- Proficiency in computer programming languages such as VB, C/C++, or C# is preferred.
- Experience with PLC programming in both ladder logic and structured text is necessary.
- Experience in programming HMIs, specifically with Rockwell and Siemens, is desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel is required.
- Travel of approximately 30% for domestic and international assignments is expected.
- Weekend work may be necessitated based on project timelines.
Responsibilities
- I will design PLC software and HMIs for industrial automation systems.
- I will debug and troubleshoot PLC software and HMIs.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold project timelines and critical milestones will be part of my role.
- I will maintain task lists and reports of open issues.
- I will manage project design documentation and prepare deliverables for customers.
- Ensuring compliance with the controls engineering process will be a priority.
- Assisting customers and local tradespeople in resolving equipment issues will be part of my duties.
- I will conduct training for end-users on the operation of our equipment.
