Requirements
Must:
- Previous experience in a help desk, call center, or technical support role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and standard business applications.
- Excellent communication abilities to convey technical issues simply and clearly.
- Proficiency in multitasking within a dynamic environment while upholding precision.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or ITIL are advantageous but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for incoming support calls, messages, and chats.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting for typical hardware, software, login, and connectivity problems.
- Create, update, and oversee tickets in our service desk system with precise information.
- Assess and prioritize tickets based on urgency and impact, escalating to the right technical analysts as necessary.
- Engage clearly with users to collect information, offer straightforward solutions, or explain next steps.
- Track the ticket queue to ensure that service level agreements and response benchmarks are fulfilled.
- Record recurring issues, user notes, and relevant support actions for future reference.
- Uphold high standards of customer service and foster a positive support experience.
Description
We are seeking a dependable, customer-oriented Help Desk Support Associate to be the first line of support for incoming technical inquiries. In this role, you will be responsible for answering support calls, evaluating urgency, generating tickets, and directing issues to the appropriate technical teams, all while delivering basic troubleshooting and superior service. We offer a full-time position with a pay range of $20.00-$30.00 per hour, along with benefits including paid time off. Our work environment is hybrid remote, located in Dartmouth, NS, and we look forward to welcoming local applicants.
