Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Familiarity with SmartConnect or similar Microsoft ERP integration tools
- Proficient in SQL query development and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting Microsoft Great Plains (GP)
- Background in supporting or implementing Dynamics 365 in previous roles
- Knowledge of web services and APIs
- Experience with Power BI (preferred)
- Familiarity with SSIS or other ETL tools (preferred)
- Understanding of PowerShell scripting (preferred)
- Experience in Windows Server environments (preferred)
- Familiarity with Azure SQL or other cloud-based SQL platforms (preferred)
- Excellent collaborative skills with a low-ego approach
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to balance daily operational support with long-term improvements
- Proactive and accountable with a solutions-oriented mindset
Responsibilities
- Maintain and support internal business applications to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Act as an escalation contact for intricate application, database, and integration challenges
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
- Assist in testing, deploying, and releasing updates for applications
- Create and maintain documentation, while providing training to internal users
- Write, review, and enhance complex SQL Server queries
- Facilitate SmartConnect integrations between Great Plains and internal systems
- Resolve issues related to data movement, integrations, and API workflows
- Support database performance optimization, data integrity, and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with developers and IT partners on application upgrades and integrations
- Provide support for Microsoft Great Plains (GP) environments
- Utilize past experience with Dynamics 365 to aid in future planning and platform strategies
- Aid in the evaluation, testing, and integration planning of ERP and CRM systems as technology evolves
- Demonstrate knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and their integration with ERP platforms
- Assist in Power BI report development and dashboarding, in collaboration with business teams to provide actionable insights
