Requirements
Must:
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities for both software and hardware
- Proficiency in working with both Mac and PC platforms
- Experience in diagnosing and resolving issues with laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, etc.
- Skills in deploying and maintaining operating systems and software
- Familiarity with warranty processes and peripheral hardware
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
- Capable of lifting items up to 40 lbs occasionally
- Possession of a valid drivers license and a personal vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed)
- Self-driven with the ability to instruct users effectively
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary Tier I technology support liaison for the Department of Technology
- Deliver proactive customer service to both students and staff
- Assist with hardware, software, and web-based tool support
- Provide training to users on district technology resources
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with devices including laptops, desktops, printers, and scanners
- Deploy and maintain operating systems and software applications
- Carry out inventory checks and perform preventative maintenance
- Aid in the setup of employee websites and technology orientations
- Collaborate with the Digital Learning Team on various initiatives
- Educate users about technology work order protocols
- Travel throughout the district to address technology needs
- Engage in special technology projects as required
Description
We are seeking a Technology Support Specialist for a one-year contract, with the possibility of permanent employment, located in Kansas City, MO. The role involves working Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Our team is dedicated to providing top-notch technology support, focusing on excellent customer service to enhance the user experience for students and staff.
