Requirements
Must:
- An Associates degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline OR 1+ years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in supporting computer lab workstations and managing print services.
- Proficiency in using a ticketing system.
- Familiarity with Windows, macOS, and iOS devices (required).
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to clearly communicate with users of various technical skill levels.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities, proactive nature, follow-through, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced, service-driven environment are crucial.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and assistance to students, faculty, staff, and administrators via phone, video, email, and chat.
- Gather and log service requests in the ticketing system, define technical issues, document troubleshooting methods, and identify viable solutions while ensuring high-quality customer service.
- Troubleshoot and manage endpoint devices, including updating passwords and WiFi access, assisting with account access, and maintaining classroom instructor workstations.
- Support print systems and audio/visual equipment, as well as other supported technologies.
- Investigate, test, suggest, and help integrate new technology solutions for university use.
- Provide virtual training on technology and host open office hours for additional assistance.
- Develop knowledgebase articles and serve as a technology resource for the University community.
- Offer dedicated technology support for virtual events and maintain cloud-based SaaS systems, including updates and modifications.
