Must:
- I am looking for a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- A Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of prior relevant experience or a Master's Degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience is required. Additional experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- I expect a current DoD 8570 certification applicable to the position (typically Security+).
- Candidates must understand complex, classified, mission-specific communications infrastructure and technology that supports U.S. strategic launch capabilities.
- Launch or mission operations experience is required.
- Experience performing voice systems engineering on mission-critical systems is essential.
- A good understanding of mission-critical desktop and communications hardware and software is necessary.
- Experience supporting configuration management, change management, and service transition is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- I need someone who has a proven ability to work collaboratively and constructively as part of a team.
- The candidate must be willing to perform call-in support as required.
Responsibilities
- I will provide system-level engineering support for mission-critical IT systems, related telecommunications trunk circuits, voicemail, and telephone instrument units.
- Ensuring the availability of mission-critical launch communications systems through proactive Tier 2 hardware maintenance will be part of my role.
- I will update or create knowledge articles to enable Tier 1 support to resolve issues without escalation to Tier 2.
- Daily system checks for alerts or degradation of service or systems will be part of my responsibilities.
- Providing systems engineering support to enterprise voice over IP (VoIP) phone systems, including Cisco VoIP phone units, voicemail, and Call Manager System is expected.
- I will ensure consistent execution of voice availability and reliability through proactive engineering methodologies and request fulfillment activities.
- Development and implementation of technical solutions through deep analysis and understanding of impact to the end product/solution will be essential.
- I will ensure the availability of mission-critical launch communications systems through proactive voice systems IT systems engineering.
- Performing incident and problem management to resolve or escalate issues to restore service will be part of my duties.
- Supporting configuration management and change management activities will also be required.
Description
The National Solutions Group at Leidos has an exciting opportunity for a Voice Systems/Hardware Engineer to support our clientβs requirements in a challenging and dynamic setting located at Schriever SFB. In this role, I will execute, refine, and supervise the processes and procedures of Voice System/Hardware Engineering operations in a purpose-built enterprise environment throughout the operational lifecycle of customer-directed mission applications. I will work in a highly collaborative environment alongside teammates, key stakeholders, and the Government customer to ensure mission continuity and support to the Intelligence Community (IC). I am looking for someone who can perform efficiently under dynamic conditions and skillfully navigate continually evolving priorities, facilitating reliable and consistent mission application systems engineering in a complex computing environment. The ideal candidate will exercise comprehensive technical Systems Engineering knowledge to meet or exceed prescribed Performance Requirements Standards (PRS). By applying deep technical and critical thinking skills, expert knowledge, and innovative approaches to resolving complex problems, I aim to have this individual be integral to ensuring the uninterrupted performance and stability of mission processors and their associated Voice Systems Engineering support. Pay Range: $67,600.00 - $122,200.00 (This pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors will be considered in extending an offer, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, and applicable laws.)
