Must:
To join our team as a Voice and Hardware Systems Engineer, you must be a U.S. citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph. You should hold a Bachelor's degree and have at least 4 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 2 years of relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in place of a degree. You are required to have a current DoD 8570 certification applicable to the position, typically Security+. A strong understanding of complex, classified, mission-specific communications infrastructure and technology that supports U.S. strategic launch capabilities is essential. Previous experience in launch or mission operations is a must. You should also have experience in voice systems engineering for mission-critical systems, knowledge of mission-critical desktop and communications hardware and software, and expertise in supporting configuration management, change management, and service transition. Strong verbal and written communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team are necessary. Additionally, you must be willing to provide call-in support as needed.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will provide system-level engineering support for mission-critical IT systems, related telecommunications trunk circuits, voicemail, and telephone instrument units. I will offer systems engineering support for enterprise voice over IP (VoIP) phone systems, including Cisco VoIP units, voicemail, and Call Manager System. My responsibility will include ensuring voice availability and reliability through proactive engineering methodologies and fulfilling requests. I will develop and implement technical solutions through thorough analysis and understanding of their impact on the end-product or solution. Ensuring the availability of mission-critical launch communications systems through proactive voice systems IT systems engineering is also part of my role. I will perform incident and problem management to resolve or escalate issues to restore service and support configuration management and change management activities.
Description
We are seeking a candidate with strong analytical skills, and preference will be given to those with experience in SharePoint, ServiceNow, and ITIL Foundations certification. This job requisition will be open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date. The pay range for this position is between $85,150.00 and $153,925.00. Please note that this range is a general guideline and does not guarantee compensation.
