Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for a United States citizen with a current TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- I require a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years of applicable experience, or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- A current DoD 8570 certification applicable to the position (typically Security+) is needed.
- I expect 5+ years of experience performing Tier 2 software maintenance on mission-critical systems.
- Proven experience with one or more of the following technical disciplines is essential:
- Current and legacy software development languages and tools (i.e. C, C++, Java, XMIDAS)
- Unix, Linux, or Windows operating systems, including shell scripting
- Enterprise management tools
- Enterprise storage management and configuration
- Database management systems and tools (i.e. Oracle, MySQL)
- TCP/IP networking in an enterprise environment
- Information system security, including IAVA management and ICD 503 compliance
- Experience supporting configuration management, change management, and service transition is required.
- I value excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The proven ability to work collaboratively and constructively as part of a team is essential.
- You must be willing to perform call-in support as required.
Responsibilities
- I will have you ensure the availability of mission processors through proactive Tier 2 SW maintenance.
- You will lead the performance of incident and problem management to resolve or escalate issues.
- Supporting configuration management and change management activities will be part of your role.
- I expect you to support service transitions, including migrations to cloud infrastructure.
- Leading request fulfillment activities, including account management and configuration changes, will be required.
- You will coordinate with other software maintenance, operations, and engineering contracts as necessary.
- I expect you to lead and ensure the documentation of all work performed via the ticketing system.
- Creating, updating, or enhancing maintenance and operations documentation will also be part of your duties.
- You will ensure the security of mission processors and IT infrastructure.
- Providing call-in support as required will also be part of your responsibilities.

The Multi-Domain Solutions Group at Leidos has an exciting opening for a Senior System Maintainer supporting mission applications maintenance in Aurora, CO. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your experience to support our customer’s mission.
Preferred Qualifications:
- I would prefer candidates with experience on legacy platforms (i.e. DEC VMS, Alpha).
- Mission operations experience is a plus.
- Experience in systems engineering and integration is desirable.
- Having mission-specific technical knowledge would be beneficial.
- Software development experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with the ITIL Framework is an advantage.
