Must:
We require candidates to meet the following qualifications: - A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field, or equivalent experience combined with education, alongside 12-15 years of professional experience; or 10-13 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. - An active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance and the capability to obtain a DoD Top Secret with SCI. - Proven experience in the architecture, design, development, and delivery of data-driven operational capabilities within a DoD context. - A minimum of 2 years in management and supervisory roles. - At least 5 years of project planning experience. - A minimum of 2 years with Linux/RHEL OS systems. - A minimum of 2 years with Windows Server OS systems. - Experience working with a highly technical team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. - Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with customer representatives, domain experts, systems engineers, and architects. - Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse disciplines and varying levels of technical expertise.

Responsibilities

As the Program Lead/System Engineer, my core duties will include: - Overseeing supervisory tasks for a team of 10-15 personnel. I will provide guidance and direction on personnel matters, including conducting performance evaluations, annual reviews, salary recommendations, corrective actions, disciplinary actions, and submissions for awards and recognition. - Gathering data, defining requirements, developing use cases, conducting gap analysis, and creating functional specifications, test plans, and design specifications. - Executing engineering activities, including requirements analysis, implementation planning, third-party coordination, integration and testing, documentation, deployment, and system evaluations. - Utilizing a Systems Engineering approach for planning, designing, executing, and sustaining systems. - Assisting in the formulation of processes for technical platforms, system specifications, and input/output working parameters for hardware and software compatibility. - Aiding in the development and upkeep of systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models using SE tools. - Identifying and managing project task dependencies, risks, and potential mitigations. - Collaborating with team members to monitor and report technical variances and facilitating the resolution of technical issues that could negatively affect product delivery. - Regularly reporting the technical status of product development to assigned leads. - Identifying and managing external dependencies. - Estimating the level of effort (hours/days/resources) to outline and update a projected project schedule.

We are seeking a candidate who possesses an understanding of network routing devices and configurations and prefers having an understanding of ITIL foundations or being ITIL certified. Experience with OS scripting (Perl, Python, Shell) and knowledge of databases (SQL, Oracle) and DB migrations will be advantageous. The pay range for this position is between $104,650.00 and $189,175.00, and it serves as a general guideline rather than a guaranteed salary. Factors considered for offers include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, market alignment, applicable bargaining agreements, or other legal considerations.
