Requirements

Must:
- A Bachelor's degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus ten (10) years of systems engineering experience. Alternatively, a High School Diploma or GED plus fourteen (14) years of general systems engineering experience (any process area), or a Master's Degree and eight (8) years of System Engineering Experience. - Strong Linux knowledge (RedHat, CentOS, Rocky). - Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Visio). - Ability to travel 3-4 times a year (up to 14 days/trip) in challenging conditions. - Knowledge in optical fiber systems and cabling (e.g., Corning, Multimode vs. Single mode, MTP-12 fibers). - Strong troubleshooting skills with hardware (e.g., servers, switches) and software (e.g., bash, python). - Clearance Required: Must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Responsibilities

- System/Sub-system Design and Integration: Design systems and subsystems based on requirements, performing large-scale integration tasks including the assembly and configuration of racks and stacks. - Rack Elevation, Cabling, and Optical Fiber Systems: Create detailed rack elevation and cabling designs, applying knowledge of optical fiber systems and cabling to maintain fiber-optic infrastructure. - Software Loading, Configuration, and Testing: Load, configure, and maintain software on various hardware systems, conducting thorough testing, including Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) phases 1 and 2, and Operational Assessment Test & Evaluation (OATE). - Technical Documentation and Training: Develop comprehensive technical manuals and collaborate with technical writers to produce high-quality documentation; design and deliver subsystem and system-level training for technical staff and end-users. - Linux System Management and Troubleshooting: Utilize knowledge of Linux operating systems for system administration and troubleshooting, demonstrating strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues. - Microsoft Productivity Applications: Utilize Microsoft productivity applications for data analysis, visualization, and documentation. - Strong Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Skills: Ensure efficient and effective issue resolution for hardware and software.
