Requirements
Must:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience OR Master's Degree and 0 years of experience. Equivalent experience may be substituted (4 years work experience or Associate's Degree plus 2 years of experience can be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree).
- Degree in computer science, Information systems, Engineering, business, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
- Experience in requirements analysis, design, coding methodologies, documentation standards, configuration management, DoD software policies, and DoD test and evaluation requirements; familiarity with real-time operating systems, distributed systems, modeling and simulation, database design and management, and resource utilization assessment.
- Experience with agile software development processes and systems engineering best practices.
- Ability to track, analyze, and communicate commercial technology trends and recommendations to a non-technical audience.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- An active secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance is required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage systems level requirements, operational systems concepts, originate design concepts, and perform systems level integration and test for highly complex systems.
- Interact with systems users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software specifications and designs.
- Participate in the development of test strategies.
- Solve engineering problems in the functional area to which assigned.
- Plan and perform engineering research, design development, and other assignments according to design, engineering, and customer specifications.
- Implement safeguard measures in line with security and information assurance procedures to prevent damage and unauthorized modification and disclosure.

Leidos is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our Government-Contractor team, providing support to a near real-time, geospatially accurate Common Operating Picture (COP) toolset that assists in military operations. This role will involve a significant level of interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure that geospatial intelligence can be effectively shared and reused across various functional areas.
