Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Command of VMware, VMware Horizon, and general VDI technology
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy management, WSUS, DHCP, DNS, file server clustering, DFS, SQL server, Windows certificate authority, and Windows Enterprise services
- Experience with on-prem Exchange and all Office applications
- Familiarity with security device architecture, engineering, and installation/management
- Understanding of Enterprise Trellix technology and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Preferred candidates should also have a deep understanding of:
- Windows and Linux Operating systems, databases, and networking concepts
- Knowledge of Splunk and HBSS
- Expertise in Cisco Unified Communications and NSA type 1 encryption devices
- Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, including the ability to write scripts for automation and data mining purposes
Additionally, we require:
- A Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Developing network architecture and system infrastructure
- Monitoring systems to ensure they operate correctly and troubleshooting issues
- Providing hardware design, maintenance, and support, including preventative and remedial measures
- Developing and reviewing technical documentation, such as white papers, presentation materials, and change management documentation
- Communicating with stakeholders across program offices and industry stakeholders
- Ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and efficient operation of in-house information systems that support core organizational functions by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems

In this role as a mid-level Systems Engineer, you will support NASA’s National Security Systems team, focusing on the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization. You will provide quick reaction support to the Operations team and the NASA customer to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system problems.
