Requirements
Must:
- I require a Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or a related field, along with at least 8 years of related experience. Additional relevant work experience may substitute for a degree.
- A TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.
- I need in-depth experience in one or more of the following areas: system architecture, design and development, requirements analysis, data flow design/analysis, network design/implementation, testing, and technical system documentation.
- Familiarity with System Engineering Modeling tools and experience in Model Based Systems Engineering utilizing DODAF and System Modeling Language (SysML) methodology is essential.
- Experience with legacy integration and plans for continuous modernization is a must.
- I expect you to have experience interfacing with government customers and contractor personnel to effectively execute task plans and complete deliverable items.
- Quality management experience is required.
- You should have a proven track record of effectively organizing, monitoring, tracking, and managing project tasks, meeting timelines, and attaining established goals and milestones.
- Strong communication skills are essential for creating and delivering written and verbal project communications, including project status updates and technical information.
- In-depth collaboration with technical staff and customers to improve performance and reliability is crucial.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and resolving issues while adjusting to shifting priorities is expected.
- Mentoring staff to maintain high levels of performance and positive morale is necessary.
Responsibilities
- As the System Engineer - Modeler, I will have you join a high-performing agile team using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology to work on capability modernization, legacy system integration, Agile software development, and cyber security.
- You will work collaboratively with a range of customer technical and senior leadership representatives to execute engineering discovery, develop multi-year solutions, and ensure an integrated approach to meet customer mission objectives.
- I expect you to guide technical teams through the successful development of a large-scale, complex capability development project as part of an integrated system development effort.
- You will work with a team of Model Based Systems Engineers utilizing DODAF and SysML methodology, effectively engaging and briefing various stakeholders to develop a comprehensive architecture artifact.
- Your role will also involve providing insights to diverse, Agile development teams while remaining focused on supporting our customer’s strategic goals.
Description
- Preferred qualifications include at least 5 years of direct work experience with Systems Engineering Modeling tools, and at least 5 or more years of experience working with SAFe for large systems development.
- Experience simulating system engineering models, familiarity with DODAF 2.0, transitioning legacy systems into new architectures, and communicating with executive levels will be beneficial.
- The pay range for this position is approximately $104,650.00 - $189,175.00. This range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation, as additional factors like job responsibilities, education, experience, and internal equity will be considered.
