Requirements
Must:
I require 4-8 years of relevant experience with AFATDS. US Citizenship is essential, along with an active and current Secret Clearance. An Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or another Engineering or Technical discipline is necessary; however, I will accept 4 additional years of relevant experience in place of the degree. Candidates must possess knowledge of AFATDS operations and be familiar with the doctrinal concepts associated with its operation, techniques, tactics, and procedures.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to assist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software for various engineering applications. You will collaborate with software developers to understand analytic and interface requirements, support the testing of tools and interfaces, and aid in the design and testing of operating systems-level software and network distribution applications. You’ll help establish operational specifications and analyze software requirements while designing embedded systems software. Analyzing user needs to design and test software solutions, you will support fielded units by troubleshooting and providing feedback on reported issues. Operating AFATDS and related external interfaces will be crucial to supporting the testing of implemented software solutions, as well as generating and executing operational test cases to verify those solutions. Additionally, I expect you to maintain and update software specifications, release notes, formal test documentation, and training materials, while also providing subject matter expertise at remote locations for formal test events. Lastly, you will maintain lab test environments with the currently fielded versions of AFATDS and associated external interfaces.

This position allows you to utilize your expertise in supporting the Fires Division through Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) and Post-Production Software Support (PPSS) Maintenance and Sustainment missions. Our team provides engineering and technical services to the CECOM Software Engineering Center Mission Command Division located in Aberdeen, MD, with deployments at Ft. Sill/Lawton, OK.
