Requirements
Must:
- US Citizen
- Must possess an active DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related STEM or engineering discipline with less than 2 years of relevant experience
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems, Microsoft Exchange Server, and RHEL operating systems administration and associated hardware
- Experience in effective communication and collaboration in a high-performance team environment
- Proficiency in Group Policy design and configuration
- Working knowledge of CISCO networking and switching, as well as virtualization technologies
- Familiarity with Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies
- Understanding of communication security (COMSEC) policies and their integration
- Current relevant experience with IL4 and above network environments/systems
- Familiar with DoD policy regarding system and network administration
- Understanding of the Risk Management Framework and its application to network/information system environments
- Experience in Bash scripting and Python
- Must have CCNA, Security+, CCDE, or DoD 8140 Basic Proficiency
Responsibilities
- Support, design, maintain, and monitor internal and external networks
- Implement and manage all systems, applications, security, and network configurations
- Resolve network performance issues and establish a disaster recovery plan; recommend upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment
- Provide technical support and guidance to users
- Rely on knowledge and professional discretion to achieve goals
- Note that this position will require privileged access, and DODM 8570.01M restrictions will apply
Description
At Leidos, we are seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to join our team in support of the United States Space Force (USSF). You will be instrumental in developing software for the Space Systems Command (SSC) Cyber Operations Branch, focusing on rapid agile development of defensive cyber solutions to protect against ground and space-based cyber threats. We are looking for someone who is a leader, a problem solver, and who has a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment.
