Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience or 5 years of hands-on experience in lieu of a degree.
- Systems and application support experience using ServiceNow or other ticketing and incident management systems.
- Familiarity and practical application of advanced principles of ITIL/ITSM.
- Excellent written and communication skills, with a strong customer service aptitude.
- Ability to present system debriefs and root cause analysis reports to executive management.
- Experience managing Microsoft Windows, LINUX, iOS, and Android domain environments.
- Day-to-day fluency using Microsoft Active Directory to manage policies and user objects.
- Experience troubleshooting, administering, and using Microsoft Windows and LINUX.
- Knowledge of security policies and general vulnerabilities management.
- Possess and maintain DoD 8570-specific IA certification (Security+ CE, etc.).
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Administer existing Windows and Linux-based servers and clients.
- Provide problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of system issues.
- Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
- Collaborate with customers to gather information about problems and guide them through diagnostic procedures.
- Troubleshoot to determine problems related to operating systems, applications, network, or mobile issues.
- Actively manage incident tickets and provide status updates according to SLA.
- Review tickets daily and reprioritize as needed to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Craft technical and professionally written outage notifications and system updates.
- Provide system and application diagnoses to remediate issues while engaging other teams as needed.
- Conduct continuous improvement service support and update the knowledge base as required.
- Work with development and test teams to manage network needs and requirements.
Description
We seek System Administrators and Engineers who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of systems, including associated hardware. In this position, you'll monitor and update current and new systems, implement critical system patches, respond to incidents, schedule O&M activities, and coordinate all customer-related issues. We require excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to work in a high-energy environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- Technical certification in AWS or Microsoft Azure technologies and platforms.
