Requirements

Must:
- I require a Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or a related field, along with at least 8 years of related experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree in the aforementioned fields with at least 6 years of related experience will be accepted. Additional relevant work experience may be substituted for a degree. - I expect in-depth experience in several areas: system architecture, design and development, requirements analysis, data flow design/analysis, network design/implementation, testing, and technical system documentation. - I need candidates with experience or strong familiarity with data centers and/or server rooms, including Rack-based Servers, Network Switches, KVMs, Routers, Backup and Recovery devices, Firewalls, and security appliances. - You should have 1-3 years of experience with infrastructure components (Servers, Switches, Firewalls, and other Enterprise Infrastructure hardware). - I seek individuals with at least 7 years of experience working on system architecture design, building, and integration, including 5 years focused on large complex system architectures. - Requirements verification traceability experience is necessary. - You must have the ability to analyze user requirements, system architecture, and/or system requirements specifications, as well as experience in discovery, research, and analysis for hardware and software transitions. - Experience in gathering information related to the lifecycle of equipment and software is needed. - A solid understanding of secure systems engineering and development is required. - I expect comfort in working on multiple systems and components simultaneously in various configurations. - You must be capable of effectively planning and prioritizing tasks, clearly communicating regarding technical options and trade-offs, and performing systems engineering activities to support Agile teams on a large program. - I value commitment to adopting, adhering to, and championing best practices.

Responsibilities

- I will need you to provide guidance and support for system engineering of large-scale systems, major system elements, and interfacing systems that are part of a complex network environment with geographically distributed components. - You will provide technical guidance and support for future system enhancements and design. - Updating System Engineering Documentation will be part of your duties. - I expect you to provide Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) or similar evaluation methodologies. - You will interface with Program Management, System and Software Integration Engineers, Test Engineers, Information Assurance Engineers, and other project team members in an Agile environment. - Developing and implementing system engineering practices to ensure proper engineering rigor is applied to all assigned tasks is key. - You will need to communicate and effectively collaborate with internal technical professionals daily, as well as with representatives from customer organizations when necessary. - Actively participating in program increment planning and related Agile team activities is a requirement. - I will also need you to provide hands-on technical assistance to engineering teams for data gathering and auditing purposes throughout multiple data centers.

The pay range for this job is $104,650.00 - $189,175.00. This range is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, and applicable laws.
